01 — The journey

Private · 2 to 4 guests

Eight nights that end on the summit of Cerro Toco, 5,604 metres, after five days of careful acclimatisation. No technical climbing.

A walking summit for fit hikers who have never been this high. The plan follows the classic rule: climb high, sleep low, and add altitude slowly. The final climb starts from a road at about 5,200 metres and takes three to four hours up the loose volcanic slope, with a mountain guide and oxygen on the rope.

02 — The altitude profile

Climb high, sleep low.

Five days of climbing high and sleeping low before the summit at 5,604 m. Oxygen checked every hour above 4,000 m.
