Four nights built around the long winter nights: a private telescope, a visit to the ALMA observatory and a sky that stays clear almost every night.
Winter in the desert means cold, dry air and nights that last thirteen hours. You sleep in a glass-roofed dome, spend the evenings with an astronomer and a 16-inch telescope, and visit the base camp of ALMA, the radio observatory at the edge of the Chajnantor plateau.
